hubby and coffee

Was walking back from the Ramadhan bazaar today when I saw a shop signage and did a double take.

It says "Hubby and Coffee"

Or so I thought.

It was actually "Hobby and Coffee".

Hahahhahahaha.

Kat situ jugak I gelak and shook my head. Imagine if you could actually SHOP for a husband (AND have a refund policy in place :P )

sago gula melaka

You know what I've been craving for, for the past few weeks?

Sago gula Melaka!
(a.k.a sago pudding ;) )

Here's how it looks like, credits to Google images

Or a fancier version of it

Haa.. the above version has got some colourings and garnishing.

Sedapnyewww.

Anyways, for the past few weeks I've been searching high and low for it at the Ramadhan bazaars, but surprisingly, no one sells them! I heard that it cools off the body and despite the heat that we've been facing since before Ramadhan, I couldn't find them sold anywhere, well, unless if I have them ordered at restaurants (read : Madam Kwan's). But, takkan la kan. Nanges la pergi Madam Kwan's just to order sago gula Melaka.

So today, I nekad to make sago gula Melaka on my own. I saw a cooking show doing a demo on how to make one sometime last week, so I guess it's a sign that I should make one for myself :P Actually it was very simple. Heee. I just needed the little sago, santan (coconut milk), gula Melaka (palm sugar) and pandan leaves. You can get the step-by-step guide here. I ran out of pandan leaves in my house, so mine didn't smell as good as they should've been, but it's okay 'cos they taste awesome :)) Anything with santan is of course awesome la  >.<

That was what I had for my buka puasa, aside from Keknul's chocolate cake. Felt so contented that I finally get to make something that I love eating, on my own. I gotta start being busy in the kitchen la kan. Cooking might just be something I could fall in love with!

Amboi.

protect what i love

Have you noticed that as we grow old, there will only be this bunch of friends who really, really know who you are, even when you don't know that part of you, yourself?

Sigh.

You know, I have been isolating myself from most people for these past few months because I realize that some things are just not worth hanging onto. Some create drama, and while I used to enjoy or even join in the drama, at this age I'm at, I don't need them anymore. There's no room in my mind to accommodate all these useless things which will drain me of my energy, for sure.

Try doing something your friends don't expect you to do. Go against something they don't expect you to do and see their reaction. Some people, when they don't get what they want from you, they can be mean. A side of them you have not seen. Even if they are your very own close friends you've known for years.

A few months ago, I was in a stressful situation, work-wise and family-wise. All I wanted at that time was understanding friends. That's it. This bunch of girlfriends keep asking me out for a catch-up session. At that time I was super busy from one weekend to another and I kept on rejecting their 'dates' and they went berserk about it. Biasalah, ladies and drama (me included la). So, in the midst of all this chaos, another group of friends also tried to set a date with me, which I politely declined as well, knowing my December schedule. But they were persistent and what they did next touched my heart deeply. This bunch of guy friends who work in the heart of KL and stay in faraway places like Ampang and Klang, went all the way from KL to see me in Cyberjaya, on their public holiday (it was Christmas Day, I was still working), so that they can have dinner with me. So sweet! Super duper sweet. I mean, can't my girlfriends do that too? Can't they be as understanding as the guys? I mean, the girls, they are practically working in Cyberjaya as well! And I didn't even think of that brilliant idea pun. Ah, can I just have guyfriends instead of girlfriends now? Haha, just kidding. I love my girlfriends just the same.

When 2014 came, I was still swarmed up at work and activities. The same set of girlfriends ask me out for their birthday celebration next month. April, May and June are my busiest month so I just told them the weeks that I will be free. To the dismay of some of them who replied that the date set was already in agreement with most of  them, so I said ok, I'll follow majority (i think this surprised them). By this time, I was so annoyed that they bothered to even ask which dates I am free, but I kept reminding myself to be calm and patient. which was SO TOUGH! No wonder sabar is half of your iman :S

Is it them? Or is it just me? Am I being sensitive? Like I said, at this age, I don't need this. I don't need drama, I don't need friends who say beautiful things about yourself to you just to back-bite you in the end, I don't need talks about the latest cosmetic they have in Sephora or how much discount I can get, I don't need to discuss about someone's backside in the office nor do I want to talk about why is Miss A getting married with someone younger than her. I don't need those things anymore. Those will only make me love the world more when all I want now, is to leave all those behind. I don't want to feel jealousy, envy, competitive, excitement over worldly matters, arrogance, hatred. I just want to clean myself from all those mess I've built over the years and getting rid of them probably require having to leave some of your girlfriends behind, but that's okay.

The things that I love now is going for talks and classes to gain beneficial knowledge which I can share and educate my brothers and sisters with. The things that don't only benefit us now, but also when we have passed. I love having discussions with some girlfriends who go to these classes as well and we share the things that we learnt or debate about them, which will elevate our knowledge insyaAllah. These things, they give you a calmness in your hearts which you won't get it elsewhere. It's a delight having some of your lifelong questions answered by just asking and seeking.

My point is, I have no room in my heart or mind for petty things. That doesn't mean I don't have fun anymore, I do, but just differently I guess. Someone once said, if you love a person, you gotta protect what he/she loves. That include her faith, her hobbies, her passion.

I can't agree more.

sexy and i know it

Was in line at the KK Mart counter today and it was already my turn to have my purchases priced. Suddenly this African lady, with her hot pink hair and her hugs-u-in-all-the-not-so-right-places top, cut in front of me, putting her purchases of booze (i think, they were either bottles of booze or turpentine, i couldn't differentiate :P) on the counter. The cashier was not local, I think he was Nepalese or Bangladeshi, not so sure. In my mind, I dah set. Sure la the cashier would layan this hot momma first, tak kisah la she cut the line ke tak. 'Cos she's hot like that, you know. And I was just wearing this faded T-shirt and jeans *cries*

I was all the time thinking, nowadays mana ada orang baik2 dah. Semua tengok berduit or not, cantik or not, I was mumbling in my head.

Suddenly he turned to me and said, "Akak, barang akak?" Hohoho. I was soooo taken aback. Turns out still ada orang baik2 ye. There's hope, there's hope!

That made my day today.

I'm pretty easy to please, like that.

:)

insignificant

This is one of those nights where I just wanna rant.

Sometimes I feel it's just easier to stay insignificant. That way, the pain is all yours to take and you don't have to take the feeling of others into account. Sometimes I just want to be all by myself. Just me and my journey. That's all.

Becoming too attached to people sometimes makes you vulnerable. Vulnerable to all kinds of feelings which padaku sometimes is just wasting my time and effort. Tired, you know. Always being the one who initiates, who pushes, who gets it done. Get what I mean?

So, if I were to choose to be insignificant, I don't have to jaga hati and all those nonsense. That is the part yang a bit complicated in whatever relationship you're in, kan? So, better be totally irrelevant kan? You don't kacau others, and others (hopefully) don't kacau you.

I tried to be just that a few weeks back but I failed. Because I can't.

I cannot be that person who keeps to herself and still be happy.

I can't.

But if you want me to be that irrelevant to you and your life, so be it.

can i see your phone?

A few days ago, MixFM had this interesting topic open for discussion on their morning show. I loveee their morning show because honestly, I love to hear Sarimah in her Irish accent. Hehe.

Anyway, on the topic.

Would you check your spouse's/bf-gf's handphone/Facebook account/email just to confirm that there's no hanky panky going on behind you?

Most of the callers who called in said that yes, they would. Simply because, they need to know and confirm. One caller even confessed that she had broken up with her boyfriend the day before because of what she found in his phone messages.

At work, I asked my colleagues the same the question. Most of the guys don't mind their phones being checked, but not their wallet. Still that doesn't really answer the question, but I guess, that's just something guys don't want to share. On the other hand, my lady boss gave a simple but meaningful answer.

She said that, if there really is something going on with her husband and a third person, ultimately if Allah wills it, you will definitely get the answer, without having to invade their privacy. I have read/heard of this somewhere, and saya setuju!

Actually, this topic's close to my heart. Sure, I got what I wanted to know but did I benefit anything from it? No. In fact it made things worse. And I've learnt my lesson. One tough lesson it was.

Or perhaps, this is His way of showing? :)

Additionally, I'd like to share some words of wisdom from 2 sheikhs that I respect,  in view of the above situation.

#1 Sheikh Hamza Yusuf

Only thing that reduces anxiety is by certainty (Yaqeen), and knowing that everything that happens is only because of Allah, and you’re in good hands

#2 Sheikh Mirza Yawar Baig

Tawakkul is to know, not believe; know, that Allah hears, sees and answers and that we don't need to ask anyone else after asking Him

Makes perfect sense.

bad dreams

There are 2 occasions where I have actually instantly realized that I have been 'tempted' by the Syaitan.

One, was on an early morning after my break-up.

I was text messaging my ex-boyfriend, asking him why he wasn't sleeping yet when I saw that he has posted some sad videos on Facebook (stupid thing to do, I know. i hated myself for that). After done messaging, I went back to sleep, waking up a few hours later, with my phone by my pillow and recurring words in my head with him saying, "I still sayang you." I believed that it was real at first, it sounded so real, that he has actually called me on my phone to say that, but knowing him, and how damaged I was at that point of time, I dismissed it immediately, concluding that it was evidently the work of Syaitan, which will do whatever it takes to divert our faith especially in times when you are so vulnerable, like how I was.

Second, was just now, when I was taking a nap in the living room.
Was so tired from 2 week's worth of running here and there. Nearly fell asleep on the wheels several times last night after a late event, so I took a nap.

I had a bad dream. I was driving, and on the passenger seat was a guy I sort of admired. Okay, a guy I look up to. As I was driving, he suddenly touched my hand, took it and held it in his. At first I was so shocked, because firstly, he is of a pious background and I know in real life, he wouldn't be doing that. Secondly, because doing that means, I would be breaking my vows and that's something I stand by, strongly. And then, in my dream, I was starting to enjoy the moment, while thinking in my head, 'You used to hold hands with your boyfriend, what are you afraid of this time?'  And then, I suddenly snapped out of it, scolding myself in my head, saying, "This is not you." That was when I started to open my eyes. Weird thing is, I could still feel the hands holding mine. I opened my eyes, saw and felt the fingers intertwined with mine, that I started to think, "I don't have any guests at home this weekend. Who is in the house with me at that time?" Bearing in mind that this might be some sort of disturbance, I started to recite the Qursi verses in my head. Slowly the image of the hand disappears, but I could still feel the tug. The harder I recite, the stronger it tugged (I can't move my body at the time, it was numb), until at last it let go.

Astaghfirullahaladzim.

It was so real, it made me realize the things they can do to you, by using whatever means.

Crazy, man.

Dear Allah, please deliver us away from all things harmful and evil.
Amin.

shades of grey

It has been a while since I took an OOTD right?
So here's their return, after so many months *smiles triumphantly*

I took this at night, hence the not so good photo qualities. Had to use filters this time, heh.

Wore these babies for Raya visiting.

One of my current favourite patterns - chevron

Love the details on the wrist. Ruffles and finishing touches of gold buttons.
There are also small pleats around the neck area which I also love, but I didn't get a close-up of it.

Btw, the top is worn like a wrap-around piece of cloth. There's a right and left flap, and so that's the reason I still need to wear another layer of cloth inside (besides the blouse itself being a bit see-through)

Shoes : Kasoot by Isetan
Blouse : Cultivation by Isetan
Spaghetti top : H&M
Skirt :  Ashura

These days I prefer mixing and matching outfits. Not only 'cos it's easier for you to rock your style with different fashion ideas, it is also friendly on your purse/wallet (whoever's buying, the Mr or the Miss/Mrs).

Here's to celebrating individuality, and embracing it.

 Have a good Sunday :)

"Find something that you love. Something that gets you so excited you can't wait to get out of bed in the morning. The money thing will come. I know so many people who have so much more money than I. They are miserable. It is so important to be happy.”

quirks

I should be blogging about my Eid, really. But I didn't bring my laptop with me and it's kind of a hassle to work with photos and documents on my brother's Ipad (am so not tech-savvy, i know).

Eid's been pretty good, honestly. During Ramadhan, I made a mental checklist for Syawal and so far all of them has been fulfilled. Nothing fancy, more of a to-do list to instil the family togetherness in the spirit of Syawal. Wahseh.

So I wanted to talk about something else.

Usually I won't be bothered much anymore about being single. But there's this one particular day recently where I guess the hormones were doing pretty much most of the talking. I was having bubur pedas for iftar. It's sort of a thick spicy gravy filled with finely- blended traditional condiments and also some veggies.

I don't fancy non-leafy veggies much so I started to separate the baby corns from my bubur pedas. I'm about to make myself sound like a loser, but the whole time I was doing that, I couldn't help thinking,  this is one of my quirks, will I ever meet someone who will take me as I am, quirks and all? Like how I hate spicy nasi lemak sambal, or how I love to bite on my straws, or how I love my pearl milk bubble tea with 30% less  sugar? I sound pathetic. I just can't help it sometimes.

I promise the next blog entry will be jolly :-)

In the meantime, happy Eid al-Mubarak to all my Muslim readers, and happy holidays to the rest :)

turning things around

Ah, I'm feeling a surge of negative emotional energy seeping in. Some people really have that effect on you. Grrrr.

Seriously people, choose your friends wisely.

Some (or in my case, most) would go to great length to keep and nourish the friendship. Some (a very small portion though) would have this really absurd mindset of friendship where everyone, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US, is trying to sabotage them. C'mon!

Though a small portion, the impact is TREMENDOUS. Hence, this post. Bah!

This is the reason I have advised some sisters NOT to grow up having to always get approval from others.
This is the exact reason. I mean, really girls, just be yourself.  When you always need to please others, you lose yourself, your belief and what you want. Your actions and your judgement will always be based on what others tell you to do. And when their judgement and actions collide with yours, this causes conflict in your head but you can't do anything about it because you just need to please them. How tiring is that?

Well, this happened to this friend of mine. She constantly needs to please her friends, her family, her boyfriend. So she follows what they say, which is everything she is not. During the course of her life, some friends would turn away, leaving her devastated. Which, lo and behold, has left her bitter and negative-minded and having all sorts of crazy ideas on friendship. Happy on the outside but bitter on the inside, and I guess, this has taken a toll on her outlook towards life itself, which I think is a great loss. Life is beautiful, you know.

So please, be yourself. If they don't like the way you are, it's their problem, not yours. There's a fine line between compromising and standing up for yourself. Differentiate that.

Embrace your individuality, not deprive yourself of it.
Seriously, girls.

Okay, enough of this. Back to reality, need to snap out of this bad energy pronto!

shoes galore

Mister : Why do you need so many shoes for? Are you an octopus? Spider? Millipede?

Me : What? Millipede? You mean centipede? *bursts out laughing*

Mister :  =.='

Out of curiosity, at work I searched via Google on whether this millipede exists and to my amusement, it actually does!

So Mister, sorry for laughing so hard at you  >.<

The above conversation took place after I bought 3 new pairs of shoes (after the 2 wedges I bought last month - 1 not even used yet) from Charles & Keith Warehouse sale last Saturday. In case you missed it, yes, it's warehouse sale for C&K!

I didn't really wanna go at first because I wasn't in the mood for warehouse-shopping these days but when there were more and more hoo-haa over it on Facebook, I couldn't resist the urge to check it out myself.

1130 am

They released the queues batch by batch.
I only got in after something like the 3rd or 4th batch.
All in the name of Mr Charles and Mr Keith *bows down*

These 3 are what I got from the warehouse sale, hoorah!
Heels, wedge and flats - perfect!

I'm into wedges lately, so this white one is an addition to my black wedges and brown wedges collection

I love snakeskin, crocs skin, so I bought this one. Plus, it is pretty stylo for casual wear. I normally wear my rotten slippers :P

Thank God they have this my size. I saw a girl with these in her hands and then and there I wished that they still have it in my size. So God granted!

Alhamdulillah!

Leave me alone

I hate it so much when I wake up on a weekend morning feeling great, with all these exciting plans up in my head and THEN whammmm, I get sad and depressing phone calls or people calling me going on and on about their problems and expecting me to solve them. I mean, get a life. I gave you my opinion, suggestions but you don't even consider them, so stop calling me.

So okay yeah, maybe I'm selfish or whatsoever but I need some me time as well alrite? And when I get these calls, they tend to influence my mood for the day and I goddamned hate it. HATE IT!

Like this morning, when my EX called me, taking me down memorylane and stuffs like that. Come on, you have your own life and now I have mine. Stop blabbing about the past because I've moved on, you made me. And when you started telling me about your new life, I was alone in some freaking country with no one to hold on to. Talk about being selfish. But I have moved on, and so should you.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't so nice. But the thing is, I cannot be bad to others because that is not who I am and I also believe in karma. This too, actually is a setback for me because some tend to take this opportunity to hurt me. Geram! Can you dodos leave me alone?

Have a little faith, my soul

Sure I have my own insecurities.

I never thought I was as beautiful, as pretty as everyone else. It doesn't help that the perception the society has on the definition of beauty has always been, okay here it goes, fair and slim. Yeap, something which I do not have.

Growing up as a chubby child has taken a toll on my self-esteem, and it doesn't help that I was raised in an environment where time for the offspring were never enough and compliments were miserly uttered.

I was lucky enough to be surrounded with kind people in my own land but eventually, adulthood came and started its way into knowing what the real world was like. Cruel.

Teens nowadays could probably be thinking the worse thing that could happen to them is fitting in, but no, the worse thing is if you are still able to get up after that fall. Life WILL knock you down, trust me.
.
My point is, maybe, just maybe, have a little faith in yourself. It works wonders (faith can move mountains, geddit?). I'm actually telling this to myself because of the reason in the first line. Ngehhhh..

It helps too, to just have a little faith in those around you. Praises, kind words and compliments can be very handy along the way. Been through that rough time numerous times and faith from close friends have always renewed me :)

Have a little faith, my poor soul

I'll be okay

In the midst of getting lucky, yeah, what with having the chance to go Disney (my dream since I was a child!), having to experience the winter season (albeit no snow), having to be in the place where sale is everywhere, cosmetics/perfumes are damn cheap(!), it all had a downside.

That I have no one to share it with.

So yeah. Sad (damn the tears are trickling). I mean I really felt alone.

I was out with my colleagues a while ago checking out some perfumes and I came accross Arden's Green Tea which my bestfriend, Azida loves, and I was telling them that I plan to give it to her. So Colleague A said, "Ko ade bestfriend ke?" Like, what did that mean?

And then, while walking home (or hotel, rather), I told them that I wanted to get the IDD card for me to call home. So the same colleague enquired, "Ko nak call sape??" Again, what did that mean?

Like, don't I look like I have friends/family/loved ones? Just because I rarely speak of my family or feelings doesn't mean I don't have any.

The other day in the office, the rest of my 4-member projects team were talking about their family members who came/are coming to visit them in HK. Being the usual quiet (hiks..) one in the office, I wasn't involved in the conversation but I was listening in :P

So the question was raised to me, "Who's visiting you in HK?" I was a bit taken aback but answered anyway. But at the same time, I was thinking, "Like come on, you don't have to ask me that knowing very well there isn't anyone coming here. Like WTH."

It's not like I want or don't want anyone to come. Probably I've been afar from my family for so long that it felt like just another normal trip, and my family were literally just accross the sea. I call it independent :P

I don't mind much, really, but I hate it when people make it a big deal.

And yes, I keep most of my feelings to myself because I have problems with trust issues.

Alrite, that's about it. Still have some other things to jot down but saving them for my next posts.

XOXO

Sneak peek - UNIQLO, Fahrenheit 88, Bukit Bintang

UNIQLO (or Yunikuro), Japan's leading fashion store has now debuted its first Malaysian outlet here in Fahrenheit 88 (formerly known as KL Plaza) in Bukit Bintang on 4th November 2010.

What makes UNIQLO different from other commercial brands is that it features casual wear (read jeans, khakis, polo t-shirts etc) with a touch of fresh urban designs.

Starting from it's opening day, UNIQLO has been having massive sale with jeans and khaki pants starting at RM49.90 (they're very well worth it!) and t-shirts starting at RM29.90. The ground floor was dedicated to Men's and Women's Campaign items (meaning items on sale) while the 2nd and 3rd floor was dedicated to women and men clothing respectively. As winter is approaching, most of the normal priced items are of winter clothes for e.g fleece jackets, wool jackets, sweaters, mittens etc.

I've had my share of joining the crazy crowd lining up to get into the store for a sneak peek.

The store map was given prior to entering the outlet

The 'pitstop' at the entrance of the store. Yes, they put up rows and rows of fences for the crowd to line-up and go into the store. The number of people who came was beyond imagination despite Saturday being the 3rd day of its opening :)

 Purchases by yours truly
1 t-shirt for brother, 2 long sleeve shirts for myself

Will be heading to this store again when the crowd has subsided :) It is just so crazy out there!

Insensitivity is downright killing me

Am utterly disgusted at some portion of the community who thinks that they're all that.

I mean, why on earth would they circulate videos of another religion talking crap about another religion? Wouldn't that just make matters worst? I don't get what the motive is. To educate? To enlighten? For me, if you really want to enlighten others, you need to emphasize the strength of the subject matter instead of condemning others (which actually shows how shallow you are). Gosh, talk about tertiary-educated. And frankly-speaking, I think I've had enough already on the race issues that we are facing in Malaysia today. Ya, they brag about the 1Malaysia concept and all but the fact is, people are still judging each other by the colour of their skin and what (or whatnots) they ancestors did. Oh come on!

The same goes for some insensitive individual(s) who I personally think do not have the rationale not to post out PG-rated videos on the social network during this holy month of Ramadhan. How insensitive are you? How long have u been living in Malaysia, dude?

I am not saying that I am a perfect Malaysian. It's just that I think things now don't seem like how they use to be, where there were no boundaries of skin colour, languages, culture. We are made out of diverse culture, beliefs and upbringing and it's everyone's responsibility to respect that.

I guess some posts I saw this whole week have been bugging my mind like mad. There, I said my point.

If love is the answer, could you rephrase the question?

Love.
We will find each other.

Weekends are like sunshine

There were many 'firsts' for me that weekend.

I got to finally see Elle's newborn boy. A first step to Taman Melati. A first to Elle's apartment. A first to have eaten Elle's fresh-cooked food (sedap!). I spent the day taking in the little baby's cute face. He's so small and so fragile and so bulat. Geram! Playing with Ainuur, Elle's 4 year old daughter who is absolutely adorable. I bet Elle has fantastic time raising her.Honestly if I (ever) have a daughter, I want to have a beautiful bond with her (sisterly, motherly, best-friend-ly, you name it). I want to watch my children grow up in front of my very own eyes. Must be a great gift to be watching the many phases your child goes through (feeling it feeling it).

After visiting, I took the Putra back to Kelana Jaya and head back home. At the time it was around 5 pm and I was already feeling kind of exhausted. But I'm stubborn, you see, 'cos then I decided since I still had time to spare for the day, why not go explore the new IOI Boulevard in Puchong (another first!).

Recently opened for more shopping and eating experience, the IOI Boulevard also holds flea market on weekends at the Palette Palette. So I took a brief walk around the area and was a little disappointed as there were only very few stalls opened and the crowd was well, disappointing! I take it as maybe the families are at the malls getting their kids ready for school, hence the not-so-happening flea markets. Oh well. Anyhoo, I can see that the IOI Boulevard will be the next IN lepak place as they have a lot of outdoor cafes, bars, salons, shops, bakeries etc. That's good, although I think the area is congested enough already.

Next on my first list is Cone Pizza (in IOI Boulevard). Yep, you got that right. Pizza made into a cone shape.

I chose to have Chicken in Creamy Sauce (err, something like that) and it IS indeed a delight :) 2 thumbs up for the outlet's serene atmosphere. A recommended dating spot, I must say. Heh.

Next, SPA!
Oh god, what a heaven it is to be pampered with sexy strokes in rose oil from head to toe (all, except for my boobs that is).

The Sembunyi Spa is located in the serene Cyberjaya, away from the husle of the busy city. Perfect for a getaway. There are a variety of spa packages that you can choose, including packages for couples ;)

For my spa retreat, I've chosen 'Calm Me Down' package which includes a 60-mins massage treatment and a special bath. For the massage, I had the 'Serenity' massage which is a traditional Balinese massage (long strokes with own techniques - good for the stressed body) and for the bath, I had 'In The Garden' (milk bath with flower petals).

Had the best quality time spent in the jacuzzi as well. Get this, overlooking the lake! :) I loveeee.. and spent a little time in the sauna and steam room. I wish I had a house with all these luxury. Heee.. (Aminnn..)

Weekends are like sunshine! ^_^

If you think happiness is all about sunshine, then nobody has told you about dancing in the rain

XOXO

Shopping malls are heaven on earth

Yes, shopping malls are heaven on earth because when you're inside them, you feel as though you're floating, everything is perfect and you've got people to serve you. Weeee..

Ole2 dari Subang Parade. The blue dress is my HSS dinner dress

So my main purpose of my activity today is to scour for dinner dress, but ended up with more *erk!*  The salesperson (her name is Mastura) is really good okay? Should give chances :P No, seriously she's good, with opinions, patience, suggestions, dress sense. One of the best shopping experience I had my entire life (betul tak tipu). Same goes to that one time when I went to just go sofa-surveying at a nearby furniture place and ended up buying the sofa. The salesperson was good and it was easy dealing with him. Plus he made sure the sofa did arrive on time and no issues with the pre and post delivery. I like. (got compliments from the tetamu-tetamu who singgah berehat at our house. yippee!).

So main point here is probably just to say that sometimes we cannot just say no-no to anything, for example, a salesperson (cos usually most of us would do that right?). Give them chances to talk and present whatever they have. Same goes to the rest of us. Sometimes we do need to give chances to other people to see what they have to offer. If you don't give them chances, we will never know. At my workplace, we do have people who are full of potential but because most people will not give them chances, they are not able to shine and show what they are capable of. Give it a thought. I'm too, am sure you will not be where you are today if not for chances which was given to you a long time ago :)

Oh ya, in my previous post I posted the bedsheet that I recently bought, but I forgot to post the photos of the food I ate at TGIF. Slurps!

Sizzling shrimps and chicken breast - 2 thumbs up!

Macaroni and cheese - Highly recommended!

I just love to shop and eat
