Yay! Today is my shopping day :)))) Retail therapy plus I need to get something for my family in Kuching. Am going back in a few days! Double yay! So, off to Sunway Pyramid I went and got myself some baju, skirt (I couldn't believe this myself) and handbag from MNG and Kitschen, and got my brothers some T-shirts from Cotton On (I believe it's newly-opened 'cos they just featured this brand in Cleo last month). The brand is something like Forever 21, just a little less fancy and a little less pain on your wallet.

This is Cotton On's recycling bag. In support of less plastic bag usage. MYR5.00

p.s : Did you know that most supermarkets here (even 7-e) are not providing plastic bags to consumers every Saturday? So bring your recycling bags to shop. Don't eew me okay? There are lots of recycling bags sold everywhere, and some local designers also designs them for the merchants. For e.g, Melinda Looi for Nando's (cool stuff, u can get it for free for any meal purchase over RM100), Forever 21 have them at MYR7.00, Marks and Spencer have them at RM25 etc. Who says it's un-stylish to use recycling bags?

Krispy Kreme doughnuts

And finally I had a taste of Krispy Kreme's doughnuts. Love the ambience of the outlet as it sounds and looks comfortable, as if you're at home because they have plenty of comfortable sofas and wing chairs. The staffs are very cheerful and helpful too. Don't know if it's just because they're newly-opened or otherwise. And as this is my pioneer purchase, I asked them what would they recommend me trying as I have not had any of their doughnuts before. So, they took out a plain-looking doughnut (it's called the Glazed doughnut), heated it up, put it in a tissue and said, 'Here, try this on the house. It's our most popular doughnut.' Of course, I gracefully accepted and on the first bite, I could feel the softness of it, and the melted sugar coating was not that sweet either, just nice. So, I bought 2, another 'Glazed', and a 'New York Cheese' doughnut. A popular with the ladies, he said. Reason being, the inside is filled with hot soft cheese and the outside is sprinkled with some MORE cheese. When I tasted it at home, it didn't feel cheesy, but of cinnamon and a dash of apple? But it was kinda ok.

Hmm, a tiring yet fun weekend :))) Can't wait to go back HOME!

Female dog!

* Kuman di seberang laut nampak, gajah di depan mata tak nampak - Malay proverb, literally "sees a microbe across the sea, but cannot see the elephant in front of the eyes". Used to refer to selective or biased criticisism or praise, or hypocrisy.

It's great that Tuan Syed can see the kuman* (microbe) across the sea, and is truly concerned about it. It would have been greater if he would see (and write about) the gajah (elephant) in front of our very eyes. Then again, perhaps he has! After all, the kuman can't fight back, can they, whereas the gajahmight just stomp one to death!

Malaysian Heart

The post above, so true man! How come some people get to see the most awful things about other people but fail to see the ugly truth about themselves? Seriously! Some people can be so mean and not know it! Bitches!

Baby baby baby Oh! What a Bieber!

Listening to Justin Bieber. Nice songs, catchy. The IN artist now, I suppose.Hehee.. his songs cheers up my Sunday night! Getting ready for the stretches of weeks which undeniably are gonna be very, very hectic. Well, taking it in one at a time. Gotta increase my work productivity and focus level.I must! :P

I need to pray a lot harder

Have you ever felt that you needed to let out everything you've got in your head BUT you just can't 'cos whatever you say will not change anything 'cos favourites will always be favourites, lies will always be lies, things like that u know?

Hmm.. these few weeks have been depressing weeks for me.Emanating mostly from work.I always wonder is this the right job for me? The question alone might be a pathetic question 'cos I should've thought of that when I applied in the first place right? Like, er, 5 years ago? The thing is, yes, things have been good, if not better since then and like everyone (especially my boyfriend) say, you're getting all the best things, why is there a doubt? Or even a prickle of thought of moving to a second job? Am I not thankful enough?

Again, becos lies will always be lies, favourites will always be favourites, things I say will most probably be 'unpolitically correct', I guess I'll pass la. Like always. Hmm.

Today was a fairytale - Ahmir (nice song but not-so-nice day today..oh well)

This is Ahmir's rendition of Taylor Swift's 'Today Was a Fairytale'. This is seriously good. I think anything A
hmir covered are totally good. Goddamn talented, reminds me of Boys 2 Men back those days. This song is actually taken from the movie 'Valentine's Day' which is supposedly the Vday movie for the year (they always have one for Vday every year) and also, which has all the BIG BIG names in it, i.e Julia Roberts. I have not had the time to watch it yet but will be going out for the movie tomorrow night with my beau. Am still in the best of moods (not gonna let anything spoil my good week yet), so ya'll enjoy this clip ya. XXXO

Of course, I do NOT own any copyright to any part of this clip :) Ciao!

So he proposed :)

Just came back from V'day dinner with my beau. Wasn't exactly one of those romantic candle light dinner or anything along the line, but it was ok 'cos he's not much of an outdoor person anyway. He's more of a homey type. Oh, we just had our 5th year anniversary last September :D Yaaa, we're that long.. heeee..

So just now we talked about preparation of the next level a.k.a engagement and wedding plans. I thought of bringing him back to celebrate Raya this year with my family (he's not Muslim btw) and surprisingly,he agreed straightaway ! And in addition, he proposed that the time will be the best time for an engagement! I am soooo happy! Woooot!

It's seriously a relief because this is what I have been waiting for all the time :) That brought a lot of difference to the days ahead. Am in a lovey-dovey mood.. Happy Valentine's day folks!

Let's inpire and be inspired :)

Hey, I'm back ! And I'm no longer sick! Yayy! I admit it is a rather bad start to a new year, but I thank God that it didn't last long. Phew!

Now back to business (ahem!). I am excited for this year! I don't really know why. It's like I have so many, many plans in my head that I'm going to put together this year. I promised myself that this year is gonna be different. It's gonna be a year of actions *crosses fingers* This is what I posted on my Facebook status for New Year :

Amydzweina Almohtar 1 more day. 2010 will be all about giving back and paying it forward, to inspire and be inspired, also to live each day like your last.Of course, easier said than done but small steps does come a long way .Need to have more faith in people (and myself) too. Carpe diem!

Yeap, it's gonna be all about giving back, pay forward, inspire and be inspired and live each day like it's your last. For a start, these are some of the things I planned generally for this year:
1) Gather my siblings, nieces and nephews and pay a visit to one of the orphanage in Kuching. At the same time, collect items to be donated as well. Why this?
'Cos I'm naturally compassionate? Hehe. No-lah, but compassion is one of the main trait that a Pisces has okay? Serious :) The thing is, I grew up in an environment where I can afford to ask for luxury. I went to the best school, enrolled in the best tuition centres, took up music lessons, dined at the best hotels, had great vacations, had designer watches, bags, when kids my age at that time had average living status. And then, there were some who barely make it to school at all because of financial issues. So I had this thought, if I ever make a living one day, I will help those unfortunate families. Bring sunshine back to their life. You know, yadda yadda. So this is why.

2) Do more travelling. At least 2 trips a year, 1 in the first half of the year and the other, in the latter half. Sounds good? I guess I need some fun myself. Makes me happier :) It has been years since I did something for myself.

3) Learn some water sports. Andddd, I'm seriously thinking of jet-skiing. Hahaa.. They look cool! Seriously!! AND, I gotta learn swimming as well. I knew how to swim when I was younger. Cos my dad would bring me and my brother to the Sarawak Club every evening when we were little and taught us swimming. Oh, those were the days..

4) Save more money for my wedding :)))

These are some of the many mannnyyy things that are on my 2010 to-do list. The main theme will be to inspire and be inspired. Will add on more as they come across my thought, definitely. Ciao!
