the english in me

I'm in no way related to being a descendant of ang moh, to start with. I did wish to one day get married with one though ;)  Sorry Mister!

Back to the topic, a few months ago while driving to my cousin's house in Shah Alam, I noticed a dainty-looking wing chair on display in one of the furniture shops nearby a traffic light in Subang Bestari. I remembered it being English style and yellow, like dark yellow.

Something like this, with wider arm rest. Oooohhh..

Since that particular love at first sight, every time I go to their house, I always made sure to look for that sofa by the window because I've aimed to get one for myself.

Imagine on a beautiful lazy weekend, with the house all to yourself, coffee and cheese cake on your coffee table, you switch on the tv and with your favourite book in your hand, rest your tired body on your arm chair, feeling all relaxed. Imagine that! What's better than relieving a week's worth of stress on your comfortable chair.. ooohhh.. the feeling is almost exhilarating.. So sooo goood!

However, lo and behold, langit tak selalunya cerah.

So, one fine day, while I was taking the route again, I noticed that the sofa is gone! I was downright disappointed!

My journey to my cousin's house never felt the same again :'(

Until today!
Guess what I found over the net!

*shrieks non-stop*

How awesome is that, you tell me!

However, they are not from the shop I mentioned earlier. These are from a shop in Saujana Utama, Sg Buloh which not only sells English style sofas, they also provide services in customizing your own existing sofa/armchair/ottoman, upholstery services and English-style furniture hand-painting. The price quoted are quite reasonable too. To see more, please visit here

You'll spend half your day going gaga over their beautiful workmanship and working out on the pricing of each item to get a complete set by end of the year (heh, that's just me).

And so, I am alive again!

bummer

Tonight I was weak.

Drove home from work with tears streaming down my face for about 30 minutes. I really hate this feeling where I feel rejected and guess what, stupid.

I just don't get how just a little bit of power will change a person and how they turn into bullies. People say with great power comes great responsibility, but I wasn't aware that they come with big heads as well.

And whatever happened to budi baik dibalas baik? Man, I am really glad I didn't persuade my family enough to move to this part of the world, where people are selfish and nothing means more than self benefits. And on racism, urgh enough already. They should come to where I come from to know what muhibbah means.

The thing is, I was raised in a positive environment, which I am truly thankful for. I believe in good deeds, good people, karma, honesty and sincerity. And I believe that as humans, we are supposed to return our good deeds, not back-stab each other.

Oh my, what has the world become?

And tonight, I was utterly disgusted at how some people can be so nasty just because they are in the presence of the management. Disgusting ass-licking bas****!

I woke up this morning with eyes similar to that of a gold-fish, bulging and whatnots and was still feeling so down.

So if anyone's reading this, parents-to-be especially, please encourage a healthy childhood for your offsprings. Let them learn not to judge, be carefree, learn by making mistakes, experience the different wonders of life, be strong and most importantly, be themselves.

Love is indeed the epitome of all good things.

shoes galore

Mister : Why do you need so many shoes for? Are you an octopus? Spider? Millipede?

Me : What? Millipede? You mean centipede? *bursts out laughing*

Mister :  =.='

Out of curiosity, at work I searched via Google on whether this millipede exists and to my amusement, it actually does!

So Mister, sorry for laughing so hard at you  >.<

The above conversation took place after I bought 3 new pairs of shoes (after the 2 wedges I bought last month - 1 not even used yet) from Charles & Keith Warehouse sale last Saturday. In case you missed it, yes, it's warehouse sale for C&K!

I didn't really wanna go at first because I wasn't in the mood for warehouse-shopping these days but when there were more and more hoo-haa over it on Facebook, I couldn't resist the urge to check it out myself.

1130 am

They released the queues batch by batch.
I only got in after something like the 3rd or 4th batch.
All in the name of Mr Charles and Mr Keith *bows down*

These 3 are what I got from the warehouse sale, hoorah!
Heels, wedge and flats - perfect!

I'm into wedges lately, so this white one is an addition to my black wedges and brown wedges collection

I love snakeskin, crocs skin, so I bought this one. Plus, it is pretty stylo for casual wear. I normally wear my rotten slippers :P

Thank God they have this my size. I saw a girl with these in her hands and then and there I wished that they still have it in my size. So God granted!

Alhamdulillah!
